Who we are
Our parent-teacher organization, supporting the educational environment and enrichment programs available to every Schallenberger student.
What we do
SHSA works closely with parents, teachers, and school administration to understand priorities, and raises funds every year for student enrichment — including art and music, science, and positive climate experiences not funded by San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD). We also fund field trips and stipends for teachers to buy classroom supplies.
We're governed by the SHSA bylaws and follow the School Connected Organization (SCO) guidelines from SJUSD.
Fun fact
SHSA is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit — Tax ID 65-1163524 — run entirely by parent volunteers.
